Visionology Optometry is a locally owned boutique clinic nestled in the heart of Kelowna. From the moment our clients walk through our doors, we aim to create memorable experiences rooted in personalized care. We believe eyewear is more than functional — it’s a style statement. Our mission? To help every client find frames that not only improve their vision, but reflect their unique personality.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Welcome every person who walks into the clinic with warmth and genuine friendliness; make them feel seen, comfortable, and cared for.
  • Help clients select frames and lenses that balance style and visual function — leveraging your fashion sensibility and eye for detail.
  • Accurately measure frames (PD, lens height, wrap, pants, etc.) to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Enter frame order information into our EMR / practice management software.
  • Track all received invoices via a spreadsheet and review for accuracy at month end.
  • Manage third party insurance payments
  • Manage frame, trial contact lens and dry eye product inventory.
  • Conduct pretesting using modern diagnostic equipment - enabling automatic data transfer and improving clinic flow.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments to maintain a smooth, efficient patient flow.
  • Educate and train clients on contact lens use, care, and hygiene.
  • Administer visual field testing when required.
  • Be an active contributor to our office culture to help us build a fun, uplifting, and caring team environment
  • Take initiative to keep the office running seamlessly. You don’t wait to be told, you look for what needs doing.
  • Bring your own sense of style! Present yourself with polish, confidence, and flair.

What We’re Looking For

  • A warm, engaging personality with a genuine passion for helping others.
  • An eye for fashion, you care about how you look, and you love helping people choose eyewear that expresses who they are.
  • Superb attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced clinic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in sales and/or optical settings is an asset. Licensed Opticians and Canadian Certified Optometric Assistants (CCOA) will be given preference.
